DONATIONS ARE IMPORTANT
- As a non-profit, charitable association, Rehoboth Christian Ministries receives a portion of its operating funds through donations from private and corporate sources as well as from specific groups, clubs and societies.
- Rehoboth Christian Ministries will maintain it's Christian integrity in all fundraising activities. Fundraising activities will be approved by the Board of Directors and implemented by the CEO/Executive Director and/or designates.
- The "Membership Campaign" is an annual drive for memberships and donations that occurs in the fall (September to December).
INCOME TAX RECEIPTS
- Donations of money will be recognized, recorded,
and income tax receipts issued as appropriate. Donations
are acknowledged and will receive an official receipt
for income tax purposes at the end of the calendar
year.
All donations
of money will
be recorded by the Accounting Department at the
time of receipt
and are deposited in the bank forthwith.
- Spending of funds is confined to Board approved programs and purchases.
Each restricted contribution or donation designated
towards a board approved program or project will be used as designated
with the understanding that when the need for such a program or project
has been met, or cannot be completed for any reason determined by
the board, the remaining restricted contributions or
donations designated for such program or project
will be used where needed most.
- Donors will be advised to seek independent financial advice in estate planning: comprehensive information will be made available to donors in these types of donation inquiries.
- Donations will not be accepted for purposes not within the objectives
of the Association.
- Rehoboth will not directly organize raffles, lotteries, casinos, bingo's, or other games of chance for the purposes of generating revenues or knowingly accept funds raised through such means.
- Rehoboth will not provide exclusive endorsement of a product, service, or company to its supporting community in direct exchange for generating revenue from, or for the purpose of receiving donations through, such exclusive endorsement. Rehoboth's Stewardship policy prohibits commissions or fees to be paid on a percentage of funds raised.
