In obedience to the will of God, Rehoboth shall convey God's love to persons with disabilities and their families by "making room" for them through personal support, advocacy, public education, and by providing them with opportunities for personal growth and meaningful participation in society.
Equality in Action
Rehoboth Christian Ministries adheres to the fundamental premise that there must be equity for all people regardless of their level of intellectual functioning, physical appearance and abilities, social awareness and skills, degree of dependency, physical and mental health, social status, income, race, color, religious beliefs, or cultural background.
All people have equal rights, freedoms, opportunities and privileges as citizens in society. The responsibility of the Christian Community is to implement the will of God in terms of asserting the dignity and equality of developmentally disabled individuals and to assist them in developing their potentials towards greater independence and a better quality of life.
Rehoboth, a Christian Association serving the Mentally Handicapped of Alberta, was formed in 1976 by members of the Christian community to offer services to individuals with disabilities and their families by meeting the objectives in our Mission Statement.
